MEMORABLE. If you need a place of perfect serenity with breath-views, this is where you want to be! Mauro and Stefano are the best hosts we have ever had! The VIP Suite is heavenly. The poolside, jacuzzi, the music and the view that comes with it all, is what you need for a perfect holiday. We were a group of 10 persons, including a toddler, and we had ample room for everyone. Eating breakfast on the terrace with the view of the sea was divine. Enjoying a glass of prosecco and watching the sunset is a highlight. I could go on and on. In sum, I would highly recommend this property anytime and I am looking forward to another opportunity to enjoy this property. These views are shared by the rest of my family who came from Cameroon, USA, Kenya and Switzerland

Great Villa! We had a wonderful stay here. Property owner/manager was very proactive in communicating with us about our stay. The apartment is very spacious, clean, modern, and well equipped. There is ample parking on the property. From the apartment, there are shops and restaurants close by. We would absolutely love to stay here again if we are back to visiting this area! Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit super Blick über's Mittelmeer. Die Wohnung war sehr groß, es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Sehr gute Lage um die Küste und auch die Orte im Hinterland zu besuchen. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett, Übergabe hat problemlos geklappt. Anfragen während des Aufenthalts wurden schnell beantwortet. Alles in allem sehr schöne Location und sehr zu empfehlen. Der Pool und Garten sind ebenfalls Top, allerdings haben wir den Pool aufgrund der Temperaturen ( Reise im Februar) nicht genutzt.

Absolutely gorgeous! This was an amazing place, most gorgeous views with the nicest pool/jacuzzi area. The host, Mauro was so accommodating and excellent to communicate with. The villa was very nice with comfortable bedrooms and hi tech projection tv as well as nicely stocked kitchen. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful stay. We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing week at Il Poggiolo. The VIP Suite is very well furnished with great kitchen facilities and a brilliant lounge with very comfortable sofa, TV, Projector screen for movies, surround sound. The bedrooms were large with plenty of storage and comfortable beds. We stayed during the last week of April and the weather was fairly kind, allowing a bit of downtime around the pool area and the hot tub was more useful than the pool at this time of year but both have spectacular views of the ocean. Mauro was very helpful from start to finish and would highly recommend the villa. Thankyou.

Traumurlaub in wunderschöner Villa. Wir haben im April 2017 zusammen mit Freunden und insgesamt 3 Kindern eine wunderschöne Woche in der VIP Suite verbracht. Die Wohnung war perfekt eingerichtet und die Kinder und wir haben besonders die technische Ausstattung genossen. Auch wenn der Pool noch sehr kalt war, sind wir jeden Tag geschwommen und haben es uns in dem wunderschönen Garten gut gehen lassen. Auch die Umgebung ist perfekt für Ausflüge (z.B. Imperia, Alassio, Monaco, San Remo ) Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft und gute Betreuung durch Stefano und Mauro. We really enjoyed our stay, thanks a lot to Stefano and Mauro ! Beautiful House and perefect location. We loved our vacation in the Italian Riviera! The house was absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect! We did not want to leave. The house was exactly as described we loved the fact that we could play music anywhere inside or outside of the house. We spent our evenings watching movies on big screen TV. The kids loved it. The kitchen was perfect, we were able to prepare large family meals. I would definitely recommend this house to all of my friends and family. As far as location goes we were able to walk to the beach. During the day we traveled to picture perfect cities up and down the coast and inland. I have never been to this part of Italy before and although I hadn't heard of this town before I felt so lucky that we found this amazing place to stay. We rented the large house with another family and we had other friends rent the upstairs condo. It was a perfect place for groups and families. Some day we will be back!

EIN TRAUM!!! Die Villa, das Jacuzzi, der Pool, das technische Equipment, die Hängematte, der Meerblick, die Sonnenliegen, der Grillplatz..... EIN TRAUM! Man fährt durch das elektrische Gitter in den Hof und fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause! Wir wurden von einem sehr zuvorkommenden Gastgeber begrüßt und mit vielen guten Tipps für leckeres Essen und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe versorgt. Die Wohnung, die wir zu zweit gemietet haben, hat traumhaften Meerblick! Unvergesslich! Zudem gibt es wirklich alles, was man in einer Wohnung braucht und noch ein bisschen mehr! Toller, großer Fernseher, einen zweiten TV im Zimmer, Internet, Musik, Filme, Bücher und sogar bunt-beleuchtete Wasserstrahlen in der Dusche... sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung und Ausstattung, also auch Teller und Gläser, wirklich sehr schön! In dieser Villa kann man absolut perfekt entspannen! Auch sehr ideal für mehrere Familien und Freunde. Es gibt genügend Platz (2 Wohnungen für jeweils 4 Pers. und eine Suite für bis zu 12 Pers). Im Freien findet man genügend Stühle und Tische und ausreichend Sonnenliegen bzw. eine Hängematte und eine sehr schöne Liege -Insel. Der Jacuzzi und das Wasser im Pool waren immer sehr sauber! Überhaupt war alles in perfektem Zustand. Sogar das Tischtennis-Netz war nagelneu! Der Garten war sehr gepflegt und mit einem Bose-Soundsystem konnte man überall im Freien Musik hören. Fazit: Man kommt in der Villa Il Poggiolo an und ist sofort im Urlaub - und man will unbedingt bald wiederkommen! ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT!

Gorgeous find! Our stay was really comfortable with a wonderful home away from home. The host came personally to ensure everything was explained and handed over the keys. Enter through the electric gates to a lovely home with a breathtaking view of the sea both from the house and the jacuzzi/pool area. Everything was really super clean and the home entertainment technology was a real bonus. The kids loved the big screen cinema experience! Una villa fantastica, l'appartamento è enorme, con un sacco di spazio e 3 grandi camere da letto, siamo stati comodissimi. E' molto moderna e ricca di tecnologia, in particolare ci ha entusiasmato il sistema home-cinema, pazzesco anche come audio, proprio come al cinema! Due computer Apple possono essere usati per mandare la musica in ogni stanza, e abbiamo potuto collegare il nostro tablet all'impianto audio via blutooth. Comodo anche il wi-fi gratis e veloce. La Jacuzzi è il punto di forza del giardino, anche perché a gennaio il bagno in piscina era un po' difficile, mentre la jacuzzi ce la siamo proprio goduta. La posizione è bellissima con una vista mare totale. Insomma che dire, grazie Mauro e grazie Stefano, 5 stelle meritatissime!

Erholung Pur. Wir waren 7 Erwachsene und 1 Baby und hatten eine traumhafte Woche in der VIP - Suite- Wohnung. Es hat Alles gepasst. Die Villa war einfach nur unglaublich toll. Wir durften eine Woche in der VIP Suite verbringen und hatten einfach geniale Ferien. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet und total sauber. Die Umgebung ist gepflegt und die Leute sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Angaben im Online-Inserat und die Fotos stimmen eins zu eins überein. Ich kann die Ferienwohnung wirklich weiterempfehlen. Sie ist sehr familienfreundlich gestaltet aber auch für Junge eine super Feriendestination. In nur 7 Minuten zu Fuss erreicht man den Strand und die Stadt Diano Marina. Es gibt kleine und wunderschöne Restaurants mit Meerblick und gutem kulinarischem Angebot. Auch die Stadt San Remo ist mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen und bietet für Jedermann etwas Interessantes.

Amazing holiday in Liguria. We were on a family holiday in Liguria with our parents and two little kids. This is one of two holidays a year we have and we wanted this trip to be a very special one. We stayed in the VIP Suite of the villa. The accommodation met all our expectations. It was spacious and bright with a lot of room for our large company. All amenities are of very good quality and condition is impeccable. The villa benefits from a wealth of gadgets and gizmos. So, everyone will be entertained at any time. The swimming pool at night and home cinema to keep kids busy during day heat were especially great. The location is very good for going to the beach especially if you drive as there is a hill to climb on the way back. At the same time because it is not directly by the sea it is not overcrowded by tourists. There is plenty of information about good restaurants in the brochure provided in the villa along other valuable local information. However, we must mention a pasta place called Macaroni which was amazing and was really good value for money. We were impressed with the service. Mauro was very friendly and explained as much as was required and was always easy to reach if any questions were to arise. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and stay there again if we plan to go to this part of Liguria again.

Absolutely stunning villa - INCREDIBLE!!!! This place is BETTER than the pictures can show. We stayed in the VIP suite and it was simply incredible. Mauro is a wonderful host and has created a truly 5 star villa in the lovely hills of Diano Marina. The house is super modern will impressive extras (music throughout the house, AC, Projection screen for TV, hot tub, Pool, Apple computers and more!). In addition, the location is lovely - set on a big hill with AMAZING views of the town. Region is lovely with small ancient towns as well as the big town of Imperia nearby. Villa Poggiolo realy is a great place. The setting and arrangements are top nothch. We spent a seven days there with the whole family swining making small trips arround the area and enjoying evening drinks at the side of the pool. We will be back.

A very nice villa/apartment. There were four of us staying - a visit to see my son who was working in Imperia. We initially looked for a hotel (many closed for winter) but were glad we found il Poggiolo. The villa had everything you could want and more. The kitchen was well equipped and the other rooms all perfect. The computer/television/music systems were amazing! The welcoming e-mail from owner Mauro was a nice touch with good directions. His son Stefano was there to greet us and explain everything. There was an amazing "handbook" on the computer which covered everything. Highly recommended. We're sorry not to have visited in summer to use the lovely pool and garden - maybe next year!

Ein toller Urlaub. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet. Es gibt wirklich im Haus alles , was man braucht, ob es Technik im Wohnzimmer betrifft, oder in der Küche, oder Badezimmer. Alles ist arbeitsfähig und in gutem Zustand. Pool ist auch in einem guten Zustand, und bietet genug Platz für alle Gäste des Hauses. Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Super Ferienwohnung mit schöner Aussicht. Wir haben eine Woche in der VIP Panorama Ferienwohnung verbracht. Die Angaben im Internet treffen zu 100% zu. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön, geräumig und bietet eine exklusive Ausstattung incl.Soundanlage von Bose und viele verschiedene freiverfügbare Musikvideos. Von der Terrasse aus schaut man auf den schön angelegten Garten mit Pool, der jeden morgen gereinigt wird, sowie auf die Bucht von Diano Marina. Zu Fuß läuft man bergab ca. 20 Min. bis zum Strand und zur Strandpromenade. In der Hauptsaison ist es am Strand recht beengt und voll, deshalb ist es tagsüber wesentlich schöner den Tag am Pool zu verbringen, wenn man dem Massentourismus etwas entgehen möchte und Ruhe sucht. Die ganze Anlage ist in einem sehr gepflegtem und sauberen Zustand. Der E-mail Kontakt zum Vermieter war sehr gut. Er war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und stand immer als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung. Es war in Italien die beste Ferienwohnung, die wir je hatten und wir können sie auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. In der Ferienwohnung befindet sich ein Informationsordner mit vielen nützlichen Tipps und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Ein abendlicher Spaziergang an der Strandpromenade ist sehr empfehlenswert und vorallem das italienische Eis sollte man probiert haben. Ciao

Villa il Poggiolo - ein Traum!! Die Villa il Poggiolo präsentiert sich wirklich genau so, wie man es anhand der Fotos erwartet. Ich war mit 7 Freundinnen in der VIP Suite, welche bei Weitem genügend Platz bietet für alle. Eine grosse Küche, wo wir jeweils wunderbare Essen zauberten, von Thai über Spaghettiplausch und Grillieren bis zu Pizzas draussen im Holzofen. Für unsere Drinks draussen war sogar ein Zitronenbaum an welchem wir uns bedienen durften und Rosmarinsträucher für feine Grillgemüse :) Wir durften die Wohnung blitzsauber entgegen nehmen, auch das Badezimmer ist gross und total modern, die Schlafzimmer komfortabel, ausgestattet mit Klimaanlage, die Betten sehr bequem und viele Schränke für Frauen die so viel Gepäck mitbringen wie ich :) Der Pool war stets total sauber und erfrischend und genügend Liegestühle für das ganze Haus waren vorhanden. Wir gingen kaum ans Meer baden, da unser Pool viel komfortabler war und die Aussicht einfach traumhaft. Zudem hatten wir im Rasen Platz für Boggiaspiele, Kuba und Federball. Den WM-Final genossen wir natürlich vor unserer riesigen Leinwand in der Wohnung :) Das Städtchen Diano Marino ist wunderschön und in 10-15 min zu Fuss erreichbar. Einmal in der Woche ist da auch ein schöner Markt, wo wir italienische Gewürze, Öle und andere Spezialitäten einkauften. Ein Ausflug nach San Remo lohnt sich. Für einen Shoppingbummel und eine leckere Gelati :) Merci, wir hatten traumhafte Ferien!

YOU MUST STAY HERE (hour from Nice). WOW! WOW! WOW! Pictures don't do this Villa justice. We rented the VIP Suite for 2 weeks in July (5 adults and 3 kids) and we could not have been happier. The apartment was well laid out and everything we needed was on hand. Kitchen was nicely stocked with appliances, the bathroom included a large bath tub/shower and most importantly, the technical connections part of the apartment was the best. The Wifi was more than adequate along even the technical geeks with us downloading movies and playing Minecraft. The TV, DVD Player, Satellite Systems kept all the kids and adult kids occupied. Mauro even had DVDs (in English) for extra choices. Bedrooms were large and comfortable and the one bedroom without the AC really didn't even need AC. Lots of storage space and even more TVs in the bedrooms. The Pool and the BBQ were great accessories to the villa. Mauro and Stefano took good care of us. They were available anytime via phone and text. My husband and I wanted to go to Cinque Terre and Mauro was able to find us an apartment so we could spend a good day and a half in that area. If I could, I would give Villa il Poggiolo 7 stars! Mauro was washing his car one day and took the time to wash both of our cars too - who would provide that level of service?? If you want to see the Liguria region, this is the place to be. When you do get here, follow all of Mauro's recommendations for sights to see and places to eat.

Wonderful villa, view, accommodations and owner. The listing and website are accurate, but we were still surprised at how truly nice the experience was. Each unit at the villa is well equipped with furnishings from electronics for entertainment, to dishes, silverware and furnishings for meals, coffee maker, etc. We were surprised and pleased to find a small clothes washer in the Panorama II unit. Great customer service , the owner spent time with us to go over the accommodations, recommend places for us to do day trips and visit nearby. It was our very first trip to Italy, and I can tell you, we had a great time due to the week we spent at Villa il Poggiolo. We heartily recommend it!

Siamo un gruppo di 12 giovani provenienti dalla Germania e abbiamo affittato l'intera Villa il Poggiolo per una settimana. Sei persone hanno soggiornato in ViP Suit, tre in ViP Panorama e le altre tre in ViP Panorama2. La casa è molto flessibile e offre tutti i comfort necessari e molta privacy! Il mare e il centro città sono raggiungibili a piedi, e la piscina e il giardino sono perfetti per momenti di relax! Il proprietario Mauro ci è stato di grande aiuto dalla prenotazione fino alla fine del nostro soggiorno! Un'esperienza da ripetere!

We spent a week at Villa il Poggiolo with friends - four adults and three children altogether. The apartment is very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen was our favorite room of all with a magnificent view of the sea and a fantastic sound system with thousands of songs to choose from. The children loved the table tennis table and the iMac in the living room. The location is great and we were able to get around on foot. Mauro and his son Stefano are very nice and helpful guys. We will definitely return.

A First Class Appartment. We stayed for four nights while visiting our son who was working in Imperia. Having initially looked for a Hotel in the area (many were closed for winter) we came upon Villa Il Poggiolo - and what a find. A luxurious apartment wihich had everything (and more) than we needed. The whole experience was good from the instructions on how to get there to the welcome we received from Mauro's son Stefano. We ate out 3 nights and stayed in one night. The Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. The bedrooms and bathroom excellent. The sitting/dining room excellent. The electronic equipment was exceptional with an amazing sound system to all rooms in the house. The television/DVD system was space-age! We even watched a couple of films (a good selection provided). A First Class apartment and exceptional value. Would highly recommend.

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit 4 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern erlebt. Sehr schöner weiter Blick auf das Meer. Die Ferienwohnung hat alles was man braucht - vom Geschirrspüler bis zur Klimaanlage. Autobahn ist nicht weit weg, man hört aber so gut wie nichts. Parkplätze im Dorf sind mangelware.

Little Gem on the Hillside!! We had a great stay in the 'VIP Suite' in Villa il Poggiolo in Diano Marina. We were two families, one with a 5 year old and us with a 5 year old and a two year old. We found there to be ample space for us not to be on top of each other. The apartment had everything we required and more. The facilities were excellent, having very good audio, visual equipment. It was clean, spacious and very well located to the near town of Diano Marina. The Pool was fantastic, with ts views over the sea and surrounding areas. It was a good size and we spent many an hour in it with the kids! The table tennis facilities were also good with good equipment to use. There is a communal bbq area which we used a couple of times and we ate on our private balcony which was nice. The bedrooms were of a generouss size and 2/3 were air conditioned. The bedding was comfortable and clean. The facilities included a laundry room which was useful with the amount of swimming we did! We found the surrounding area to be beautiful and quite traditonal. We appeared to be the only English in the town which was refreshing. The food was excellent and prices are reasonable. We especially liked Elio's Cafe in Diano Marina. Mauro was an excellent host and his communication was great. He supported all our queries promptly. Everything went swimmingly when organising the place. Overall we had an excellent, relaxing time and will definately be looking to go back.

Perfect holiday. Me and my family spent a nice and relaxing week at the Ligurian Sea. The VIP Suite with its exposed position and its beautiful garden contributed a lot to that: The villa is built into the hillside about 5 minutes by car to the city center and beach. This location gives total privacy, calm and repose. The apartment offers a lot of space for a big familiy or a group and is modern and perfectly equiped. E.g. there is music and sound system with hidden loudspeakers in every room, an apple computer with a large spectrum of music in the kitchen, WiFi in the hole apartment. The kitchen itself is equiped with everything you need for cooking. There is a balcony you can sit but there is also a private part in the garden that belongs to the VIP Suite with a large table and chairs. The garden and the pool area is very clean and well-tended. Everyday the staff cleaned the pool and did the gardening. A jacuzzi is integrated in the pool and at night you can illuminate the pool with different colours of light. From the garden and the pool you have a wonderful view on the sea and Diano Marina. Mauro is a very good host. Before we arrived, he answered all our questions (we had a lot of them :-)) within a very short time. When we arrived, he explained everything to us very patiently and gave us good restaurant recommendations (delicious pizza at "O sole mio"). Considering all things, this apartment is higly recommended!! Thanks again to Mauro for this perfect holiday.

We had a lovely stay in this villa. it was clean and spacious and just as advertised. Definitely a five star stay, the kids loved it and the location was brilliant! Amazing views! The garden area and pool are fantastic. The landlord Mauro couldn't have been any more helpful and courteous ,nothing was a problem and from start to finish we were made to feel at home . A perfect place to stay. Diano Marina is a perfect location for sightseeing the coastline from Monaco to Cinque Terre. The city itself has plenty of nice restaurants and shops. Nice beach and seaside areas. Villa Poggiolo is located with a wonderful view of Diano Marina and the ocean. From the villa it is a short walk down to the main street to get hold of fresh bread for your breakfast. In the other direction from the villa, you are able to hike or go jogging for hours into the country side on quite narrow roads between the olive fields. The villa itself has all the facilities you expect, well equipped, clean and spacious. Same goes for the garden and pool area. Definitely a location to recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing holiday. Dear all, we were 8 jung people at the vip suite and we really can recommend this appartment. This appartment has a lot of useful electrical devices. For example you have in each room music available and you can switch it off or on in every room you want. Also the kitchen is really big and has everything wat you need. We used this a lot. The pool is realy nice and has also a whirl pool. From the pool area as well as from the balcony you have a great view over Diano Marina and the ocean. In appr. 20 minutes by walk you reach the ocean and the city with the shops. We can recommend to everybody to make a trip to monaco which is only 1 hour by car away. We are sure that we will come back.

Wonderful days in Villa in pogiolo. Perfect holidays for families with Children. We had really wonderful holidays in August 2012 in The weather was so hot, that you should not move to much. No Problem in our holiday home at Villa il pogiolo. The house is ful climaticised and in the pool you can cool down when ever you want. Especially the chidren had a lot of fun. The house contains luxurious rooms , so that no wishes are staying (especially the kitchen is a dream). Everathing is very clean , and the service in case of problems was first class. A FUNtastic holiday in Italy! Dear All, We are a big family - 5 kids alltogether - in this case we travelled with 3 of them, the 4th visited us for a weekend - and because of this, we must choose a big house with enough space to everybody. Villa il Poggiolo in Diano Marina, Italy is a perfect place to choose. Full of space and light, the bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and really modern style, the living room with the big LCD screen TV and Blueray Disc Player is perfect for a family to take a rest after a long trip to Milan, Pisa, Monaco or Genoa. The garden and the swimming pool is also amazing, we loved to play table tennis in the backyard of the house and my older son learned to ride a bicycle there! So, I think, if you would like to spend a perfect holiday in Italy at the beautiful coast of the Ligurian Sea, then Villa il Poggiolo is the best choice for you! Great holiday, lovely facilities and location. The accommodation was superb. Two of our children are in their early twenties and they loved the option of the multi-room sound system, extensive iTunes playlist, DVD's, bikes, table-tennis and swimming pool. Wifi proved very useful as well. Mauro and his team were very helpful and explained how to use the high tech equipment.The walk into town was quite easy and took about 15minutes. Diano Marina is a pleasant town, with shops to look at, market stalls, and plenty of restaurants. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the air-conditioning worked well, although one bedroom did not have it.

Villa il Poggiolo is great! We stayed in the V.I.P. Suite and enjoyed it immensely. The view of the sea from up on the hill was lovely and wide. The rooms were spacious, clean, chic and very comfortable. The swimming pool was large and clean. All equipment was new and in perfect working order. A bit too big for a couple, but perfect for a family or group of friends. Over the years I have stayed at many villas. This one is easily the best. Highly recommended! Exceptional property. This was our 2nd stay at the VIP suite. We have found it difficult to return after our 1st stay in 2009 because it's generally booked up pretty early, but after a compromised experience the previous year, we booked this 51 weeks ahead and we weren't disappointed. Location is, for us, excellent. It's far enough from town to be peaceful so the children sleep, but it's close enough to walk into Diano Marina which has a great selection of places to eat. There is a pretty challenging hill to the gates, but it's short, and our 3 year old was quite happy to walk up by himself. Inside, the apartment is furnished and cleaned as if it's your own. There have been no compromises on furnishings or maintenance and there are a few bonuses. The super quiet air conditioning is one; the fabulous multi room music system another. How many apartments include use of bikes? Pizza Oven? Whilst the whole place looks very attractive, the basics have not been forgotten. So often we've checked into a large property to find we are missing simple things like a full set of cutlery or a comfortable mattress, even kitchen appliances that work. Not here. We have recommended this place to friends and family and those who have used the smaller apartments on the same property have reported similar experiences. Quite honestly, I would say it's the best place we've ever rented. It may not be the cheapest of couse, but there are so many positives / bonuses that value soon overtakes the price. And it's hard to put a price on the view out to Capo Berta at sunset!

The area around the Suite is very lovely and nice. The Suite is outside the village situated on a slope. The area is very quiet. The town is very nice in a tipical italian style. The supermarket basko is good. If you want to eat a very good pizza you must go to the o sole mio or to the fra diavolo. The suite is exactly as described. We were 8 people ( 5 adults and 3 childrens ) and can only recommend the suite. All things you need are present.

Wunderbahrer Frühling. Es war wirklich herrlich in der Villa !! Mauro ist ein sehr charmanter und großzügiger Gastgeber,Annarella bei jedem kleinsten Problem sofort hilfsbereit.Danke! Diano Marina ist auch zu Fuß leicht zu erreichen und bietet sehr guten Geschäfte aller Art ,so z.B. eine wunderbare Fischhandlung mit Preisen,von denen ich in Wien nur träumen kann. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr gut ausgestattet,als leidenschaftliche Köchin habe ich die wunderbare Küche vier Wochen lang genossen.Die Zimmer sind hell und gr0ßzügig angelegt,die Einrichtung wirklich sehr praktisch. Wir haben uns extrem wohlgefühlt !

Lovely in Liguria. Il Poggiolo is a marvelous villa, sumptuous but comfortable and made for easy living. Minutes from the center of town, it is convenient to anything you may want but once the gates close behind you, it is peaceful and beautiful with the red tiled town below, the ocean and the hills all at a glance. The pool, surrounded by lush lawn, overlooks the sea and with the chaises and umbrellas offers good reason not to venture to the beach if you’re feeling lazy. The kitchen is amply equipped and with its functional center island, can easily accommodate 8-10 for extensive or simple menus. And with the porch just a step away, al fresco dining seems natural. We took advantage of the sensational outdoor wood burning oven for spectacular pizza, whole fish and anything else you may want to cook. Everything tastes better coming from this olive wood fueled oven. We also availed ourselves of the charcoal grill and with ample outdoor (covered) seating adjoining the oven and grill it affords long lazy family dinners that you will not soon forget. The VIP suite is dominated by a living room that is sleekly furnished , 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.. all rooms are high tech. The sprawling couches accommodated our entire group of six adults one toddler and one infant for as long as we wanted to lounge without feeling close. It is a lovely, spacious and quite functional room with the large parsons table a perfect collective desktop for our 3 computers, 4 cell phones, 2 iPads and respective charging stations as well as serving as Strategy Central for planning the days activities. Panorama One: My wife and I rented this apartment in order to leave the large VIP Suite to our children and grandchildren. This apartment was spacious and comfortable with welcome privacy and perfect air conditioning but still within a few seconds reach of our family. The deck was sensational for morning espresso and irresistible in the evening. Importantly, our 3 year old granddaughter experienced a high fever the treatment of which was handled expeditiously by the owner’s representative, the highly efficient Anarella who quickly arranged a visit to, and drove them to, the doctor’s office. The doctor was waiting, no red tape, treated Lucienne and allowed us to resume our vacation worry free. No small thing! The owner was so accommodating and responded to each phone call immediately. All in all a lovely experience.

As good as it gets. We stay in Italy at least once a year and usually in an appartment in Liguria. This time we brought our brother-in-law, his wife and their children (1,3) along. We occupied both VIP Panorama and VIP Suite. There are descriptions of this home available on the owners homepage who excells every expactation one could have. Both appartments are extremely well equipped and in very good condition. There is a fine kitchen in both appartments and a stable wireless connection to the internet without the need of taking your laptop with you since there are PCs at your disposal in all appartments. Outside is lots of space to chill or romp with your kids. The pool area is fenced in completely, so you don't have to worry about your children (or yourself) falling in the water. There is enough space to have five cars easily parked. Diano Marina is a kid-friendly city. You can park your car in the street leading towards the train station free of charge. It is an easy two minutes walk to the city centre and another two to the beaches. There are a couple of nice towns around and Monaco & France are in easy driving distance. Don't miss to visit Villa Hanbury right on the french border. Mauro is a most friendly, available and dedicated landowner. We recommend this property to our friends.

November stay at Villa il Poggiolo. We stayed at Villa il Poggiolo VIP Suite during November, so unfortunately did not get to use the pool, which looks great! The rest of the house was perfect for us, all the children liked it and with enough space, it was even easy to stay inside for a whole day of rain. The kitchen and rest of the house is very good equiped, so that cooking and dining is fun, too. All in all we would recommend the house,we used it alone, but even for two families is enough space. With small children and buggy it is a little steep to walk downtown, or to the beach, but possible. Diano Marina itself we liked, the market was nice, some pizza-places were good, and since it was November, nothing was crowded and weather was still ok. So for us it was a good holiday and recommendable for those, who don´t need high season tourism.The owner was very friendly and uncomplicated, a plus.

Great stay in great villa. We can highly recommend a stay in the VIP apartment ! We loved the new swimming pool, the garden, the media player all around the house and the great view! The village Diano Marina is lovely, especially on Sunday morning! The owner could not have been more helpful when our three year old girl fell down the stairs. We are still very greatful that he drove us to the hospital and functioned as a translater from Italian to English! We might even return!

Our stay at Diano Marina. It was the second time we have visited Villa il Poggiolo. We are 6 adults and 3 children. Each family had its own room to relax as well as a big kitchen and living room to come together and the terrace. The Villa is really a nice place to stay for holiday. Everything is clean and the multimedia equipment is better than at my home :-) The new pool was fabulous. Our kids as well as the adults enjoyed lying in the garden or swimming in the pool. The owner is friendly and courteous. If you have a problem, don't hesitate to contact him. All in all we can recommend the Villa to everyone.

Villa il Poggiolo - April. We spent great holiday in Villa il Poggiolo's VIP-suite. Location of this Villa was peaceful with nice view to the sea. VIP-suite is very modern, fully equipped apartment and there is nice garden area around the Villa. We stayed here in May 2009 with fantastic Riviera weather. The apartment was ideal for us with 4 children as there were 3 spacious bedrooms and lots of room in the garden surrounding the property. We have a car trailer so the grounds were great for additional parking space. The kitchen was immaculate and well stocked with utensils so cooking meals was a pleasure. It was great to find we had a local bar and beach within 10 minutes' walk. The property is on a hill which is little steep for family cycling, but it is short and the reward is the breathtaking view at the property! We particularly enjoyed our evenings on the terrace overlooking the town. Diano Marina centre was a great place in that we discovered a route to the town on our bikes without needing to use the main via Aurelia. The centre is pedestrianised with lots of speciality shops and great Pizzerias and ideal for children as they can run around safely. The hinterland is great for exploring if you're a keen cyclist and as a family, we found the cycle path to Imperia ideal. If you can manage the hop on the Aurelia to San Lorenzo, you can cycle teh rest of the way traffic free to San Remo! Finally, the crowning glory of this property is the sound system. From a screen and wireless mouse in the kitchen, you are able to select music from the owner's library and play it all over the house. There are even speakers in the bathroom. It all adds to the holiday atmosphere! We will definitely return.

Beautiful house with great views! My wife, my one and a half year old daughter and I stayed in the Vip Suite for a week in February. We had a really good time and I can recommend this beautiful house. Mauro could stress the sea view much more in his description of the house since you see the sea from nearly every window! The house is uncluttered, clean and we wouldn’t had the slightest problem staying much longer. We liked the whole style of the house and furnishings and you never feel like being in a typical rundown vacation rental. It’s much more like living in a modern house that you build and equipped for yourself. Although you should be aware that the house lies on a hill, a little away from the center of Diana Marina. I wouldn’t recommend it for travelers without a car.

Super nice apartment! We liked very much the "ViP-Suite" in your "Villa il Poggiolo". We were pleasantly surprised how generous the suite is also the sea view over the rooftops of Diano Marina is beautiful. We felt very well, above all, because the apartment was renovated and clean. The sofa, the mattress and the pillows and blankets were very hygienic. Compliment. Many greetings Margarete - Superschöne Wohnung! Die "ViP Suite" in Ihrer "Villa il Poggiolo" hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir waren angenehm überrascht wie großzügig die Suite ist, auch der Meerblick über die Dächer von Diano Marina ist wunderschön. Enjoy Liguria! It is really nice to stay at Mauro's place. You won't notice the highway even though its proximity. The kitchen is just great we enjoyed a lot cooking together. Going to the beach will usually require a car. Walking around in the village is a pleasure because of the pedestrian zones and the still typical stores.
